IS AI A CREATIVE'S TOOL OR THREAT?
IS IT ART OR SIMPLY ARTIFICIAL?

In celebration of ADC’s 102 year anniversary,
The One Club for Creativity welcomes the global creative community to explore the opportunities and issues around artificial intelligence’s new role in the creative process. The 101+1 Expo is an art exhibit that’s both an interactive gallery and digital dialogue around AI’s emerging impact within the creative industry. Participating creatives were asked to collaborate with an AI image generator of choice such as Midjourney, DALL-E 2, Stable Diffusion, or others. After asking it prompts, participants could then take the resulting image and evolve it by a little, by a lot, by hand or with digital tools. Each final piece of artwork is housed within a custom cube (an homage to the prestigious ADC Cube award), which have each been entirely generated by AI engines. In addition, participants have included a short description of what the experience was like – the good and the bad, how the collaboration changed how they normally create, and at what point the artwork become theirs. The project is created by Pereira & O’Dell and lili Studios, in partnership with the ADC.
